When we buy appliances, vehicles, and other products, we expect them to operate more or less as advertised. And most of them do. But some objects seem to be sold with the idea that they will not be used for long or used frequently. The manufacturers may expect that:

• They are purchased as gifts - and the receiver will never tell the giver what's wrong with the gift.
• They are inexpensive, an impulse purchase, and therefore tossed when they don't work correctly.
• The product works generally as advertised and consumers aren't going to care about a few details.

This website celebrates those products that aren't fully lemons but that nevertheless have features that they shouldn't. They are products that make us wonder if the manufacturers ever sent them home to be tested in the real world.
